Simple and cheerful

But it grows on you after a few loops.

Gravijar responds:

cheers

Excellent journey/cutscene music

Reminds me a bit of the old SC2 hyperspace, of which I never thought I'd hear an equal.

Worth the remix

I liked the original too, but on hearing this, yeah, it lost a lot somewhere along the line. Good job fixing it!

Odd and not bad.

This one keeps to the beat better than the other clickwood one. This stuff reminds me of airtuna...

Assassin2 responds:

Judging by the name I take it that's a group of acapella like folk who mimic instruments, like Naturally 7. They're funny, and good. And yes this one I finished and took more than a second to make. Thanks for listening.

Very midi, yes

That is to say: Every note hit is jagged and abrupt! No notes carry into each other, each one is a full stop. The melody is extremely mechanical and almost without variation. It's like someone replaced all the instruments in a MIDI rip with more complex synthesized instruments without correcting any wrong sounds. I won't say you did, but will say that it sounds like it, and if unintentional it's a poor style to imitate.

Very ambient

...but not boring. Most ambient just...fades into the background for me but this has a strong enough presence to keep my interest. It's melody is also very interesting and sweet. The ending might be a little abrupt but in a song like this it's either that or loop it, I think. Good job!

Excellent melody and use of stereo surround

Very airy sounding.

That electric guitar instrument, though. When it changes quickly, it sounds so MIDI, like it's stuttering. If there's anything like a sample offset effect in your software(play sample from point X instead of from beginning) you could make it sound a whole lot smoother.

EagleGuard responds:

Hmm... I guess I could change something to make it sound smoother. I'll think about it. Thanks for the review :)

Now there's a song to wake you up.

You know those songs where you have to listen for 3 minutes before you find the rhythm and begin to like it? This... is not one of these songs. 3 seconds in I was enthralled. The guitar and bass work kept the pace up all the way to the end. The lyrics were very well-done, clear and expressive.

Very solid-sounding instrumental rock.

I usually prefer music without vocals but this one just seems to scream for them, probably because of how much this tune reminds me of some tunes by the Gin Blossoms. A bit more variation with the muted bass guitar would be good in that solo but other than that it's really very good.

Very interesting rhythm, but a bit jarring

The repeated de-syncing fits and starts of the melody interrupt my enjoyment a little bit. The effect is nice in small amounts but could be toned down a bit. Otherwise wonderful.

The feedback I'm getting here has inspired me to clean up and post more of my small library of music, which I make as a hobby. So far I'm (de?)composing using old-fashioned tools like FastTracker II. If you know better free tools, I'm all ears!
